What we collect, why, who else sees it, and how to get it deleted. We sell software, not data — there is no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking here.

1. The short version

We collect what is needed to sell you software and let you download it again later. Nothing else.

There is no advertising on this site, no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no third-party scripts of any kind. We have never sold customer data and will not. The only cookie we set is the one that keeps you signed in.

The rest of this page is the detail behind those three sentences.

2. What we collect

When you create an account: your email address, and your name if you choose to give one. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash and cannot be read by us or by anyone else.

When you buy: what you bought, what it cost, the currency, when, and the identifiers Stripe gives us for the payment. We never see or store your card number — it goes directly to Stripe and never touches our servers.

When you register a machine: the NinjaTrader Machine ID, and the label you give it. This is what licences the software to your computer, and it is the reason the account exists at all.

When you download a file: the time, your IP address, and your browser's user-agent string. We log this to enforce licensing, to spot a licence being shared across many people, and to prove delivery if a payment is later disputed.

When you email us: whatever you write, and your email address.

3. Records from the old site

Pro Edge Trading previously ran on WordPress and WooCommerce. When we moved, we brought across customer records: email addresses, names, order history and Machine IDs.

Passwords were not brought across and could not have been — the two systems store them differently and the old ones cannot be converted. If you had an account before, it exists here with no password until you set one.

4. Why we hold it

To give you the software you paid for, and to keep giving it to you: your downloads stay available in your account indefinitely, and updates are included for life.

To license the software to your machines and to enforce that licence.

To take payment, issue receipts, and run payment plans to completion.

To answer your emails.

To meet our tax and accounting obligations, and to defend a payment dispute if one is raised against us.

5. Who else sees it

Four companies process data on our behalf. There are no others.

  • Stripe — payments. They receive your name, email, billing address and card details, and hold them under their own privacy policy. We never receive your card number.
  • Supabase — our database, accounts and file storage. Everything in section 2 is stored there.
  • Resend — sending email. They handle receipts, sign-in links and notifications, and see your email address and the contents of those messages.
  • Vercel — hosting. They process requests to this website, which necessarily includes your IP address.

Our domain records are managed through Cloudflare, which sees traffic to the domain but is not sent any account data.

We will disclose information if the law requires it. If we are ever compelled to, we will tell you unless we are legally prohibited from doing so.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information for advertising. There is no exception to this and no partner programme behind it.

6. Cookies

We set one kind of cookie: the session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary — without it, you could not stay logged in between pages — and it is set by Supabase, our authentication provider.

We use no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no third-party trackers. That is why this site has no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to beyond the one that makes signing in work.

7. How long we keep it

Account and order records are kept for as long as your account exists, and afterwards only as long as tax and accounting rules require — generally seven years for anything relating to a payment.

Download logs are kept while they remain useful for licence enforcement and dispute evidence.

If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete what we are not obliged to keep, and tell you plainly what is left and why.

8. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@proedgetrading.com and we will respond within thirty days.

You can change your name, email and password yourself from your account settings at any time.

Deleting your account ends your access to the software and to any downloads it granted. We will say so before acting on the request, not after.

9. How it is protected

The site is served over HTTPS everywhere. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Database access is restricted by row-level security so that one customer cannot read another customer's records, and the software files themselves are held in private storage reachable only through short-lived links generated for the person entitled to them.

No system is perfectly secure and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you what happened, what was exposed, and what we did about it.

10. Children

This site is not intended for anyone under 18, and our products are not suitable for them. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will remove it.

11. Changes and contact

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for anything significant, email account holders.
